Who is eligible to receive the training course incentives? Toggle content

All Alberta residents are eligible to receive the incentives. Some courses have prerequisite criteria in order to attend the course – please check the description for the course you wish to apply for.

Why are you offering incentives for training courses? Toggle content

Energy Efficiency Alberta aims to promote the development of the renewable energy and energy efficiency services industry. Incentivising training courses makes them more accessible to a wider range of people to help grow the industry in Alberta.

How do I apply for one of the courses listed and how do I get the incentive? Toggle content

You can apply for each course on the training providers’ website. You can find links to each of the training providers websites in the course description listed on the incentives page.

When will the incentives start and how long will they last for? Toggle content

Incentives for Alberta residents are available and will be awarded on a first come first served basis. Energy Efficiency Alberta aims to ensure fair and equitable access to training programs and will make every effort to manage incentive spending throughout the year.

I am attending a course related to renewable energy or energy efficiency, but it is not listed as a course which offers an incentive. Why is my course not covered? Toggle content

This list of courses has been reviewed by Energy Efficiency Alberta based on a range of criteria. Courses will be reviewed on a quarterly basis and will be updated as required.

Is there a limit on the number of courses I can take part in? Toggle content

No – you can take part in as many courses as you see relevant for your organization/business.

Is there a limit on the number of employees from the same organization / business who can receive the same incentive from a course? Toggle content

No – there is no limit on how many participants from the same organization can attend and receive an incentive. Incentives are issued on a first come first served basis to all attendees.

I am a training course provider and would like my courses to be incentivised, how can I get my courses on the list? Toggle content

Course incentives will be reviewed on a quarterly basis. If your training course is targeted towards building managers/operators, service providers, measures providers or building inspectors your course may be eligible to be included.
